What is Energy Healing?

Energy healing is a powerful modality for healing trauma, helping to alleviate physical, mental, and emotional suffering. It can be practiced both in person and remotely, regardless of location, by a skilled practitioner. Using gentle touch, along with the practitioner’s Presence and energy field, energy healing works to stabilize and release energy blockages that cause mental, emotional and physical distress.

How does Energy Healing work?

Humans are energetic beings. Stuck energy in our systems from collective, familial or difficult personal life experiences will influence our thoughts, emotions, beliefs and often our physical health. Energy healing works by bringing the recipient into a relaxed state below the level of the conscious mind and the practitioner will use their Presence and their own energy field to gently untangle stuck knots of energy. This can cause profound shifts for the better in a client’s state of being emotionally and mentally and often physically.

Stress or Overwhelm: If daily life or work is causing burnout, energy healing can help restore balance and prevent emotional exhaustion.

What will happen during an energy healing session?

In-Person Sessions

Sessions are held at the temple in Valla. Once your appointment is confirmed, I will send you instructions on how to enter the property and where to park.

Upon arrival, I’ll greet you on the verandah—if I’m not visible, please ring the gong to let me know you’re here. Until then, make yourself comfortable on the verandah couches and feel free to say hello to my dog, Pixel, a sweet fox terrier mix! She enjoys quiet attention. For the benefit of your session, I recommend putting away your phone and staying present.

When ready, we’ll move into the temple, where we’ll briefly discuss what brought you to the session. I’ll ask how comfortable you are with gentle touch, as hands-on treatment is preferred, though hovering may be used for more sensitive areas. Once we’ve agreed on the approach, I’ll ask you to lie comfortably on the treatment table. Focus on gentle, conscious breathing, and allow yourself to fully relax. Whatever state you’re in is perfectly welcome.

Sessions typically last 40–60 minutes. Afterward, you’ll have time to reorient, and if you feel called to, we can discuss your experience. I may also share any intuitive insights that arise. If time allows, we can enjoy a cup of chai tea together.

At the end of the session, you can offer a donation via card tap or cash.

Post-Session Care

It’s ideal to have the day free before and after the session to rest, reflect, and hydrate. The effects of the session may continue to unfold for 24–72 hours, so be gentle with yourself during this time.

That is completely honored. There are many sacred and personal reasons someone may feel uneasy with physical touch, certain areas of the body may carry cultural, energetic, or emotional sensitivity, or past experiences may have left imprints that make touch feel unsafe. All of this is welcome here, without judgment.

Before we begin, we’ll take time to gently explore your relationship to touch and create clear boundaries so you feel held and respected. During the session, you’ll be wrapped in a light covering to create a sense of warmth, safety, and cocoon-like stillness. Where needed, I use a hand-hovering technique, working just above the body, to honor sensitive areas while still engaging the energy field.

If your system isn’t ready for any form of physical presence, remote healing is a powerful and effective alternative. Energy moves beyond time and space, and deep transformation can occur even at a distance.

Every session is unique, just as each person is different. Some may feel nothing during the session but notice shifts in the days that follow—internally, in their thoughts, emotions, and physical body, or externally, in changes to life circumstances, new opportunities, or serendipitous events. Others may drift off to sleep, while some experience strong emotions or thought patterns being released. It’s also common to feel discomfort in certain areas of the body as energy blockages become conscious and begin to shift. You might sense energy moving through your body or even have visions. Some clients experience a floating or peaceful sensation during the session. No two experiences are the same, each session unfolds in its own way.

Possibly. For the best results, I may recommend a series of sessions spaced one to two weeks apart. Over time, you might notice the effects begin to fade, and a follow-up session can help “re-tune” your energy. Ultimately, the decision is yours—there’s no pressure. However, a sequence of three sessions is often ideal for allowing me to become familiar with your energy field and for you to experience the full benefits.

Well that is up to you. I work by donation also known as dāna. It’s important to my practice to make it open to all people regardless of financial status. Working by dāna is a type of spiritual practice for both parties . My practice is to give freely without expectations or attachments and the recipients are involved in the lived practice of generosity within their means.
